Volunteer Positions
Volunteers are a vital, everyday element to the operations of ERCCIS.
ERCCIS is keen to find volunteers who are able to help with the important task of computerising wildlife records for the ERCCIS database. Additionally, there will be other database and administration tasks to assist with. Full training will be given.
No particular technical skill or knowledge is essential, but a general interest in wildlife and a geographical knowledge of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is an advantage. Good attention to detail is important.
ERCCIS are also looking for a volunteer to help catalogue the library of books, journals and reports. If you have good organisational skills and work methodically with attention to detail then ERCCIS would like to hear from you.
Ideally, ERCCIS is looking for someone who can commit to one day or half a day per week, however, those that would like to do more are welcome! ERCCIS operates during office hours; therefore, it is not possible to volunteer during evenings and weekends.
ERCCIS understands the reasons why people volunteer are many and varied and would like to get people involved in a way that will make it a mutually rewarding and enjoyable experience. Volunteering for ERCCIS is also an excellent way of making contacts with those involved in nature conservation and helps build key skills which can be used to develop your career.
If you are interested in volunteering for ERCCIS or would like more information, contact Ba Whitehead, Personnel Manager on (01872) 273939 ext 278.
