Individuals and organisations give thousands of wildlife
records to us each year. These records, when collated together,
help us to gain a more complete picture of the biodiversity
of Cornwall and Scilly.

The Environmental Records Centre is part of, and hosted by,
the Cornwall
Wildlife Trust and is largely funded by the Trust, Cornwall
County Council and Natural England. It is run in partnership with a range of data
users and providers, including the Environment
Agency, The
National Trust, the Isles
of Scilly Wildlife Trust, district councils and the Cornwall
and the Isles of Scilly Federation of Biological Recorders.
What’s new …..
Cornwall and Isles
of Scilly Pond Survey
Small water-bodies, usually
known as ‘ponds’ or ‘pools’,
are found throughout Cornwall and the Isles of
Scilly, from the highest moors to the lowest valleys.
The Environmental Records
Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS)
would like YOU to help us find out where ponds are
found and what condition they are in. Please see
the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly
Pond Survey page to find out how you can get
involved! |
